Hariharan's Live Concert in Melbourne

Wow... what an energy displayed by Hariharan for 4 hours. Never his energy level dipped from start to end. Most of the songs were picked from AR Rahman's Tamil music. He sang only 'Yaadein' title Hindi song. He sang with such an ease that I felt the process of singing is easy and anybody like me can also sing. But who will listen is a different issue that I might have deal later.

He was accompanied by ever charming Sadhana Sargam. Hari-ji and Sadhana rocked the stage together with many hit songs. Also, Sadhna performed solo songs which was just amazing. The other performers included his sons - Akshay and Karan & Hariharan's students - Lavanya and Chandrayee (who is also a Tollywood singer). Everybody were brilliant in their own way. Orchestra performers were also not bad.

Hariharan disguised himself as the 'Paati' of Dashavatharam and as 'Rajni' of Shivaji. His energy was equally cheered by vibrating crowd - clapping and dancing.

Which function ends without bloopers. Below were the most visible ones:
1) Major bloop was that when the concert started, they welcomed Hariharan with a smoke. This initiated fire alarm and there were fire engines outside. We realized only when Hari-ji was almost finishing his first song and there were firemen inside the town hall asking him to stop. All of us -almost 600 had to go out and come in. I think they almost had forgotten about this as a part of organising the event. However, once we came back, Hari-ji started from the line where he had left with more energy and humour.
2) Most (Only 2 songs as corrected by Karan Hariharan after reading my blog post) of the background music for the songs were pre-recorded. At many times Orchestra performers were seen to be just doing nothing and still the music running.
3) The announcer nearly missed to give out the memento to one of the orchestra guys as he was too fast in calling the next person. He was reminded by the person who had missed in taking the memento even after his name was announced.
4) The chorus should definitely take some classes on body language.
5) Performers in orchestra were yawning.
6) Announcer introduced Hari-ji's son as Haran instead of Karan.
7) At the end they vote of thanks was ended with the message - "Have a Good Nights" .

We also got to meet, take a pic and autograph with Hari-ji. Upon asking on his energy levels, he humbly showed the 2 finger rings blessed by Swami (Sri Satya Sai Baba) to him reasoning behind his energetic performance.

Overall a magnificent effort!!!

While I have good nights, you have amazing days/nights/evenings.
